    Unturned Wiki Official Server

    Indeed, I have acquired a server courtesy of Axel Hosting and its features will be up to the community of the wiki!

    The front page poll has concluded that ~55% of those who voted prefer a vanilla server, so I will not be adding any mods in the near future. The base rocket mod was installed onto the server by default, but no other mods were added.

    I'm still working on adjusting the server's config file. Reply to this thread with your opinion on the current values, it goes a long way to optimize the gameplay for a fair and unique experience. You can view the config values on the server's info page in-game before you connect.

    • I don't think there's really much point in having a 100% vanilla server, there're already a few of those on the server list so we might as well tell people to join on of those. We should try and at least make it unique.

      Supplies: 3 Mres, medkit, 2 dressing, cooldown 2 hours

      Builder: Engineer top and Bottom, Chainsaw cooldown 2 hours

      Thief: Thief top and Bottom

      Mechanic: Mechanic top and Bottom, Blowtorch, Carjack

      Police Officer: Police Top, Bottom, and Cap, (and a Civilian ammo box?)

      A SafeZone somewhere on the map

      The server has modified difficulty settings to be harder. May be important to note that it currently isn't setup to be a walk-in-the-park.

      Also, you cannot have safezones without a custom map (unless it's Russia. Current map is Hawaii.) Gonna have to suggest a map w/ a safezone. :v

      EDIT: Keep in mind that suggested maps are also restricted as to what mods they can have.

      Well, it's either Russia or some custom map found on Workshop.

      (If we're going for the latter, I would suggest PEI V3 by FalkenJr.)

    • The server is established to be a bit easier than default.

      • Greater item spawn chance.
      • Items are more likely to be 100% (except ammo boxes by 1% lower than default)
      • More zombies spawn, but they have lower armor and less special zombies spawn. (Crawlers, Flankers, Burners, etc.)
      • Special zombie bosses do spawn, but I plan I removing them due to their lack of drops or xp gain. (they are currently *very* rare)
      • Zombies have slow movement enabled.
      • Animals respawn more quickly. (Though they have a 50% damage boost) :3
      • You regen health at a minimum of 45% hunger/thirst instead of 90%. (Though regen rates are slower to balance this)
      • You die from bleeding, hunger, thirst, and virus much slower than default.
      • You lose less skill points after dying than default.

      The bits that make it harder:

      • Extra 5 seconds to respawn
      • No hitmarkers
      • Legs take longer to heal
      • Players take an extra 10% damage. (1.1 armor rating)

      I found a mod that I have tinkered around with that enables the addition of safezones that works on Hawaii.

      If I do end up adding item presets on the server, they would not allow for any significant advantage in gameplay. For now I would only add clothes for the characters to spawn with.

      I also have a list of mods I would like to try out, but I'll need a bit to find some more good ones.

      Virus is currently set to kill faster, though, starting at 75% instead of default 50%.

      And by no means are zombie bosses deserved to be anywhere near the easier factors. x.x They spawn in the worst of spots that perfectly match their variant.

      Flamethrower and Lightningshock right next to each other... Groundpounder at the industrial factory... Flamethrower in a cave... Lightningshock in a very open town that is driven through by everyone...

      plz murder them beyond existence and it'll be true easy. :)

      (Oh, and Domo said the lack of hitmarkers is evil.)

      EDIT: Conclusion - server is evil, not hard.


      If you wanted to just freely be able to use any mods you could just make a custom version of Hawaii and upload it to the Workshop. Only notable downside would just be having to download the map.

    • What about a Map Called "Zombie World"

      I play on it all the time in single player, it has amazing detail, 5-6 Military Locations, A desert, forest, and snow, as well as a "safetown", but isn't a safezone.

      I've played it, and I can safely say that Isle of Wolves I, II, and III is a better alternative.
